Bill Murray

A lot of people I know, including myself, will respond with “everything” when asked the question “what kind of music do you like?” This is promptly accompanied by “except for country.”

For this project, I had to make a drawing based on a country song title, but I did not have to listen to the song. The song I chose was “That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine” by Gene Autry.

The drawing has 2 color lino prints, some colored pencil, and embroidery on paper. I don’t like embroidering on paper because it is more rigid than fabric and susceptible to ugly crease lines. But it is easier to apply paint and such to.

I loves me some Bill Murray, with chest hairs!

Learn to Love You More

Miranda July of Me and You and Everyone We Know made this project website called Learning to Love You More. It is a series of assignments that people would perform and then post up on the site. I wanted to do some redesign mockups, so here they are:

There are some things I would change if I had the time, but I must concentrate on getting my thesis project together o_0

Just note, whenever you feel overwhelmed or depressed or horrible, just look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that you are beautiful and give yourself a big hug!

Beer Butt Chicken

February 14th, 2010 § 0

what is beer butt chicken? it is the best combination of food and drink eva!

Take a can of beer half full and stick it into the butt of the chicken so it stands upright. This helps the chicken cook more evenly and retain moisture. I used a rub consisting of salt, pepper, and emerald lagassi spice. Plus some lemon juices. And a single slice of carrot for some pazzaz.

My mom brought home a whole dead chicken and said to cook it however I could and eat it. At first I thought the chicken was marinated in some kind of sauce, but that turned out to be blood. I had to cut off the feet and the head. I also had to cut out the heart, which was still attached inside the chicken. Some other organs still remained too. Yucktastic.

Where am I?
