i made a flash thing in web class. it is like the holy shit gif in one of my other posts. awesome funtimes.

In the midst of a computer restore and data transfer, all my web content disappeared. so i just finished putting up new images where the old ones were. changed wallpaper. new year, fresh start. but same basic stuff. so not new at all actually. but better. maybe. not. huh?

i found this gif on the internet somewhere. i love gif’s.

this is a colored pencil drawing i did for class long ago. i cheated on my rubics cube. they have tutorials on the internet on how to solve the colorful puzzle. i thank jesus for the internet.

this was a one day assignment, which was completed in one day. it didn’t take the whole duration of that day, but we had quite a short time to come up with a subject and concept and then execute it. the most interesting mundane object i thought of initially was rice. it’s plain in color and taste. but somehow someone figured out how to make it interesting through the art of song. i wanted to explore the idea of rice being such a staple to asians and it in turn making us the superior beings. But no. Then on the topic of food, i thought of tin cans from eaten canned foods. andy warhol campbell’s soup. can bean shakers. can telephones with string and tape. I’ve always wanted to make one of those. but also no. then i thought back to when i was a kid. in elementary school, i always had school lunch and ate it with plastic sporks. They were the awesomest plastic utensils ever. i thought it a good object to glorify since it is so glorious. space man. the future. cheese moon.

yay i win! this was the most fun thing about my trip to the getty museo. an hour long drive, $10 parking, thousands of boringly similar classical artwork, crowded tram rides, awkwardly long and shallow entrance stairs, pen stains on khaki pants, ducks getting lost in river mazes, industrial strength wire covered trees, coldness, getting lost in the thousand story parking structure, running out of gas, no curry…
